Biography
Cristina Sánchez-Andrade (Santiago de Compostela, 1968) studied Information Sciences and Law. She worked at the European Parliament and collaborated with cultural media. She published her first novel in 1999, Las lagartijas huelen a hierba, followed by Bueyes y rosas dormÃan (2001) and Cuentos de humo (2001).
She won the 2004 Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize for Ya no pisa la tierra tu rey, recognized for its originality, black humor, collective narration, and fantastical and poetic atmosphere.
