Mexican Graphic Designer, Master of Habitat Sciences from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, and PhD in Architecture, Design, and Urbanism from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos. He is currently a research professor at the Faculty of Habitat of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, where he conducts research in the field of visual perception. His work focuses on studies of typographic visual perception and the reading process using eye-trackers, as well as studies related to the theory and methods applied to type design.
In 2009, he received the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design awarded by the Type Directors Club of New York, and in 2010, he was nominated for the Prize of Prizes Design Award, an honor granted by the German government. That same year, he also received a Certificate of Excellence at the Fourth Latin American Typography Biennial, Tipos Latinos.
He has given lectures on experimental typography at national and international events such as TEDx, Palermo, Bienal de Letras Latinas, La Letra Ilustra, ProDiseño, Punto GIF, Pasión y Diseño, Tipografilia, VisualFest, Bienal del Cartel Bolivia, Tipografía México, Creative Mornings, SIGNU Ecuador, and Typographics Type Lab.
