Artificial intelligence, professional transformation, and literary production
The emergence of artificial intelligence is transforming work processes across multiple sectors, from automating routine tasks to assisting with complex analyses. In the cultural and publishing fields, these changes manifest in shifts in professional profiles, the organization of work, and the emergence of new roles that require rapid adaptation. Not all roles are affected in the same way: while some are being reconfigured or face the risk of disappearing, others are strengthened through their complementarity with digital tools.
In this context, it is essential to ask which skills publishing professionals should cultivate to remain relevant. Creativity, critical judgment, and the ability to make decisions with human sensitivity remain irreplaceable, even in environments where AI assumes part of the operational workload. This panel seeks to explore the intersections between automation and human value, aiming to identify both the challenges and opportunities emerging in the professional and literary landscape.

Intellectual property: new dilemmas in the age of AI and social networks
The emergence of artificial intelligence in creative processes has sparked an intense debate about the very definition of authorship and originality. Can a work generated or co-generated with AI qualify for copyright protection? What happens when the texts, images, or data used to train models are derived from works with existing intellectual property rights? These questions challenge the boundaries of current legislation and place authors, publishers, and legal experts in unprecedented dilemmas.
In this context, the panel will examine how publishing contracts are adapting, what emerging regulations aim to protect content, and what mechanisms might ensure fair compensation for the use of works in AI environments. Beyond questions of potential “piracy” or technological legitimacy, the discussion will address business models, licensing, and ethical frameworks that balance innovation with respect for creators’ rights.

Ethics, transparency, and oversight in the use of AI
The use of artificial intelligence in content editing and production raises ethical challenges that go beyond technological innovation. One key issue is the need for transparency: should publishers disclose when a text has been generated or modified by AI, and how should this be communicated to readers? These questions drive the development of internal protocols and codes of conduct to guide the responsible use of such tools within the publishing process.
At the same time, the discussion extends into a more complex terrain: the cultural, ideological, or linguistic biases that AI models may reproduce or amplify. This panel will explore how to identify, mitigate, and monitor these risks, aiming to establish shared ethical standards that ensure a publishing practice that is fairer, more transparent, and respectful of diversity.
