Kev Lambert, formerly known as Kevin Lambert, was born on October 17, 1992 in Montréal and is a Québécois writer.
Her family is originally from Chicoutimi. She did his studies in cinema and literary creation at the University of Montreal (Ph.D. ).
Her first two novels Tu aimeras ce que tu as tué (You'll love what you killed) and Querelle de Roberval , were published in several countries such as Québec, Anglophone Canada, France, England, Germany, Spain and in several Latin American countries and won several important awards such as the Atwood-Gibson, the Medicis prize, the Wepler, Du Monde, the The Prix des libraires of France. The novel she will present at the FIL, Que notre joie demeure was published in September 2022 and in France it won the Medicis Awards, the Ringuet and the December in September 2023.
Also in 2023, she adapted the play Un cœur habité de mille voix (Nights Too Short to Dance) by Marie-Claire Blais. In 2024, Kev Lambert published her fourth novel, Les sentiers de neige simultaneously in Canada and in France, unanimously acclaimed by critics.
Translated into many languages, the author's international reach is greater. In 2025 she will sign a text at the prestigious NRF with Gallimard, an essay with Grasset and will continue her collaborations with the Seuil (Nouvel Attila) and the Heliotrope editions.
Her novel Querelle de Robervalis in film adaptation directed by Gabrielle Demers, produced by the company Art et Essai. On the other hand, an adaptation to theater of May notre joie demeure is scheduled for March and April 2026.
