Ca_teter

(Montevideo, 1977) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. He has held solo exhibitions such as Notes from Venice at Galería Garance & Marion (Italy, 2025) and Always Together at Galería Mutty (Italy, 2024). He took part in the Irudika Residency Program (2024), held across Maison des Auteurs (Angoulême, France), Casa del Autor (Zapopan, Mexico), and BilbaoArte (Basque Country, Spain), as well as in the Convivencias Project at Moinho Edições (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 2018). He has been recognized with the Uruguayan Illustration Award in 2018 and 2023, and was an international guest at the First Illustration Salon of Medellín (Colombia, 2022), where he gave workshops and talks. His work has been ed for the White Ravens Catalogue of the Munich International Youth Library (2021 and 2024), the BRAW Catalogue of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (2022 and 2024), and Iberoamérica Ilustra (Mexico) on six occasions between 2019 and 2025. In the academic field, he teaches in the Diploma in Illustration, Arts and Crafts program at Tragaluz – Confenalco (Colombia), and in the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts program at the Catholic University of Uruguay.

Mujer Gallina

Sol and Gallina are authors, illustrators, and artists. They focus on books and graphic activism. Sol has received major awards and recognitions at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Nami Concours in South Korea, the Guadalajara Book Fair, and the White Ravens at the Internationale Jugendbibliothek. Their books have been translated into more than six languages. This collaborative duo lives in Berlin, working on a collective, anti-authoritarian, and self-managed project.

Valerio Vidali

Valerio Vidali is an award-winning Italian illustrator and picture book author. His work has been published internationally and recognized with honors  such as the New York Times best Illustrated Book, The Ilustrarte Grand Prix, and awards from the American Society of Illustrators and the Bologna Children's Book Fair. He currently lives and works in Porto, Portugal.

Maru Aguzzi

She studied Graphic Design in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and specialized in publishing, a job that she has been doing for almost 30 years now. Has lived in Mexico since 2003 and works as a Cultural Promoter. Is the Founder and Director of Gran Salon Mexico, a contemporary illustration fair that takes place annually in Mexico City since 2014 and, in parallel throughout the year, she runs Gran Salon Agency, where she focuses on working with illustrators in different types of projects.

Rocío Bonilla

Rocio Bonilla is a children’s book author and illustrator based in Barcelona. She holds a degree in Fine Arts and has worked in various fields such as photography, mural painting, education, and advertising—an area that kept her away from drawing for twelve years.

In 2011, she discovered editorial illustration by chance, and in 2014, she began writing her own stories, publishing Cara de pájaro, her first picture book as both author and illustrator. A year later, she released ¿De qué color es un beso? (What Color Is a Kiss?), the work that launched her onto the international publishing scene.

To date, she has published more than seventy illustrated books, some as a solo creator—such as La montaña de libros más alta del mundo (The Highest Mountain of Books in the World), ¡Hermanos! (Siblings!), Gracias. Historia de un vecindario (Thanks: The Story of a Neighborhood), and La pandilla de los 11 (The Gang of Eleven)—and others in collaboration with authors including Susanna Isern (El gran libro de los superpoderes / The Great Book of Superpowers), Elisenda Roca (Una gran familia / One Big Family), Eulàlia Canal (Los fantasmas no llaman a la puerta / Ghosts Don’t Knock on Doors), and Meritxell Martí (El consultorio de la señora Ánser / Mrs. Goose’s Advice Clinic).

Her picture books have received numerous national and international awards, including the Premio Crítica Serra d’Or, the Premio Libro Kirico, the Prix du Livre Vivant, and finalist distinctions in the Little Hakka Awards and the Young Readers Golden Medal (California).

She was ed in 2018 by the Fundación Cuatrogatos, and her work was featured at the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration (2019) and at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (2021), where it was included among the one hundred best books for early childhood.

Minimoni is her most beloved and recognizable character. Her books have been translated into more than thirty languages worldwide. Her latest literary adventure takes her into children’s fiction with the series Lucas Kent & Greta Rouge, which she also illustrates.

Xavier Salomó

Just before completing his illustration studies at the Massana School in Barcelona, Xavier (Sabadell, 1976) met Meritxell Martí (Sabadell, 1972) in a bookshop. That encounter marked a turning point in his life. Before then, he had co-founded a small horror film production company with friends, creating ultra-low-budget films that were more comical than frightening. He also directed theatre productions and drew comics for fanzines. Together with Meritxell, he began publishing illustrated books, some in France. In recent years, their international profile has grown, with their books now translated into (so far) 24 languages. Their career has been recognised with several awards, including the Prix du livre vivant (2024), the Icelandic Booksellers’ Prize (2023), the Quebec Booksellers’ Prize (2022) and the Atrapallibres Prize (2021).

Dolores Prades

Dolores Prades is a founding partner and director of the Instituto Emília, and publisher of Revista Emília and Cuadernos Emília. She holds a PhD in Economic History from USP and is a specialist in children's and young adult literature from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is also the director of the Emília Training Laboratory.

She served as curator and coordinator of the seminars Conversas ao Pé da Página (2011–2015) and Arte, Palavra e Leitura (2018, 2019, and 2020); as coordinator in Brazil for the Latin American and Caribbean Chair of Reading and Writing; and as a guest professor in the Master's program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She was also curator of FLUPP Parque (2014 and 2015).

Dolores was a member of the jury for the Hans Christian Andersen Award (2016), the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Award (2016), and the Chen Bochui Children’s Literature Award (2019). Since 2018, she has been a consultant for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair for Latin America and works in editorial consulting and fields related to reading and reader education. She is also a translator, researcher, and writer in the field of books and reading.

Sara Bertrand

Escritora chilena, vive y trabaja en Santiago de Chile.

Es tallerista para la Biblioteca de Santiago y profesora del taller de Escritura Creativa de la Universidad Diego Portales. Ha dictado el curso Apreciación estética de los libros juveniles en la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades en la Universidad Católica de Chile durante los años 2017, 2018 y 2019. Tallerista para Laboratorio Emilia de formación (España y Brasil), donde ha dictado cursos de formación para profesores, mediadores y bibliotecarios, además de talleres literarios para la red de profesores del ayuntamiento de Madrid, España. Ha dictado cursos de creación literaria en España, Colombia, Brasil y Chile. Escribe para Cuaderno Emilia (Brasil) y esporádicamente para la Revista de la Universidad (UNAM, México). Ha trabajado en diarios, revistas y radios. Ha ganado numerosos premios, entre ellos: el The Braw Amazing Bookshelf Bologna Ragazi Award en 2025 con Afuera los fantasmas; el New Horizons Bologna Ragazzi Award 2017 con La mujer de la guarda; el White Ravens 2017 con No se lo coma; el premio Medalla Colibrí lo recibió en 2019; el Sello distinción de la Cátedra UNESCO en Brasil 2019 por Al mulher da guarda y en 2022 su novela Álbum familiar ganó el premio al arte editorial entregado por Caniem, México. Ha publicado en Francia, Italia, España, Brasil, México, Estados Unidos, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Venezuela. Ha sido traducida al francés, catalán, italiano, inglés y portugués.

Amanda Mijangos

Ilustradora mexicana egresada de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la UNAM; estudió ilustración en Argentina y México. Desde 2014 ilustra poesía y literatura en libros y revistas dirigidas a personas de todas las edades. Su trabajo ha sido premiado en el Catálogo Iberoamérica ilustra; la Bienal de Ilustración de Bratislava, la Trienal de Ilustración de Tallin (Estonia), la Feria del Libro Infantil de Bolonia y el Catálogo White Ravens, entre otros. Nominada por México al Premio Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2025.

Adolfo Córdova

Adolfo Córdova (Veracruz, Ver., 1983) is a journalist, writer, researcher, and reading mediator, with a master's degree in Children's and Young Adult Books and Literature from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is a member of the National System of Art Creators of Mexico. He has published 15 books that have received awards such as the National Fine Arts Prize for Children's Story, The Best of the Banco del Libro, the Antonio García Cubas Award from INAH, The White Ravens, the Cuatrogatos Foundation Prize, the Best Children's Books from the New York Public Library, and the Bologna Ragazzi Award. His works have been translated into Maya, Nuntajiiyi, Catalan, Italian, German, Arabic, Russian, and Korean. In 2025, he published Pequeña Flama, Trueno Pequeño (Loqueleo), Río viento (El Naranjo), and an anthology of fairy tales by Marina Colasanti for the UNAM reading materials collection.
