Daniela Formoso

(Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche). Es licenciada en Lengua Inglesa, MBA, con certificaciones en Aseguramiento de Calidad. Cuenta con más de 10 años de experiencia en empresas del sector petrolero en México, como Document Controller y es traductora especializada en documentación técnica, procedimientos HSE, sistemas de gestión de seguridad y formatos normativos en inglés y español. Ha colaborado estrechamente con ingenieros, auditores y personal operativo para garantizar la claridad y precisión en entornos de alto riesgo. Actualmente trabaja en Fontis Energy y también genera contenido reflexivo sobre traducción, lectura crítica y maternidad.

Sandra Lizbeth Meza Avilés

Es originaria de Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. Cursó la Licenciatura en Lingüística y Literatura Hispánica en la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, así como la Licenciatura en Educación por parte de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Se especializó en traducción a través del Diplomado en Traducción Jurídica impartido por la Organización Mexicana de Traductores. Actualmente, se desempeña, aparte de en el ámbito educativo, también como perita traductora inglés–español, autorizada por el Consejo de la Judicatura del Poder Judicial del Estado de Baja California Sur, México. Su ejercicio profesional se centra en la traducción certificada de documentos jurídicos, académicos y administrativos, principalmente en el contexto regional de Los Cabos, donde el uso del idioma inglés es frecuente, pero existen pocos mecanismos de organización profesional entre colegas. Le interesa especialmente reflexionar sobre la ética, el criterio y la dimensión humana del trabajo traductor, así como promover la colaboración entre peritos para fortalecer la calidad y profesionalización de la disciplina. Cree firmemente que traducir es, además de un acto técnico, un ejercicio ético y humano que requiere comunidad, formación continua y compromiso con la excelencia.

Verónica Álvarez

Es médica especialista egresada de la Universidad La Salle. Tras un giro profesional entró en el campo de la traducción biomédica y acumula más de 10 años de experiencia como traductora independiente. Ha trabajado en la industria farmacéutica como traductora y revisora médica de protocolos de investigación. Actualmente se especializa principalmente en la traducción de artículos médicos del inglés al español y en la traducción inversa (español - inglés) de manuscritos científicos elaborados por grupos de investigación. De forma paralela, imparte las asignaturas de traducción técnicocientífica, traducción científica y traducción médicofarmacéutica en la Licenciatura en Traducción de la Escuela Nacional de Lenguas Lingüística y Traducción de la UNAM.

Elizabeth Velasco

Estudió la Licenciatura en Lengua Inglesa por la Universidad Cristóbal Colón de Veracruz, Maestría en Traducción e Interpretación por la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Pertenece a la Organización Mexicana de Traductores y del Colegio Mexicano de Traductores e Intérpretes de México. Es Socio Fundador del Colegio de Profesionales de la Enseñanza del Inglés (COPEI) y miembro Mextesol. Es perita traductora-Intérprete por el Poder Judicial del Estado de Veracruz de 2014 a 2017. También es perita traductora federal por el Tribunal de Justicia Administrativa del 2018 a la fecha. Tiene quince años de experiencia docente universitaria colaborando con la Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas y el departamento de Normales de la Secretaría de Educación. Federalizada, trece años de experiencia en el campo de la traducción y la interpretación. Es profesora de inglés y materias relacionadas con el área de lenguas y lingüística a nivel superior posgrado. Facilitador-colaborador de talleres para maestros en la Esquina Benjamín Franklin Chiapas, perteneciente a la Oficina Regional de Programas de Lengua Inglesa de la Embajada de EE. UU. en México. Actualmente es profesora e investigadora de tiempo completo para Escuelas Normales de la SEP y perita traductora-intérprete federal del Tribunal Superior de Justicia Administrativa y traductora-intérprete autónoma en Contexto, servicios lingüísticos.

(Montevideo, 1977) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. He has held solo exhibitions such as Notes from Venice at Galería Garance & Marion (Italy, 2025) and Always Together at Galería Mutty (Italy, 2024). He took part in the Irudika Residency Program (2024), held across Maison des Auteurs (Angoulême, France), Casa del Autor (Zapopan, Mexico), and BilbaoArte (Basque Country, Spain), as well as in the Convivencias Project at Moinho Edições (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 2018). He has been recognized with the Uruguayan Illustration Award in 2018 and 2023, and was an international guest at the First Illustration Salon of Medellín (Colombia, 2022), where he gave workshops and talks. His work has been ed for the White Ravens Catalogue of the Munich International Youth Library (2021 and 2024), the BRAW Catalogue of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (2022 and 2024), and Iberoamérica Ilustra (Mexico) on six occasions between 2019 and 2025. In the academic field, he teaches in the Diploma in Illustration, Arts and Crafts program at Tragaluz – Confenalco (Colombia), and in the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts program at the Catholic University of Uruguay.

His work has received major recognitions, including the Junceda Award, the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition, the Golden Pinwheel (China), the White Ravens List, and the Bologna Ragazzi Award.

Mujer Gallina

Sol and Gallina are authors, illustrators, and artists. They focus on books and graphic activism. Sol has received major awards and recognitions at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Nami Concours in South Korea, the Guadalajara Book Fair, and the White Ravens at the Internationale Jugendbibliothek. Their books have been translated into more than six languages. This collaborative duo lives in Berlin, working on a collective, anti-authoritarian, and self-managed project.

Valerio Vidali

Valerio Vidali is an award-winning Italian illustrator and picture book author. His work has been published internationally and recognized with honors  such as the New York Times best Illustrated Book, The Ilustrarte Grand Prix, and awards from the American Society of Illustrators and the Bologna Children's Book Fair. He currently lives and works in Porto, Portugal.

Maru Aguzzi

She studied Graphic Design in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and specialized in publishing, a job that she has been doing for almost 30 years now. Has lived in Mexico since 2003 and works as a Cultural Promoter. Is the Founder and Director of Gran Salon Mexico, a contemporary illustration fair that takes place annually in Mexico City since 2014 and, in parallel throughout the year, she runs Gran Salon Agency, where she focuses on working with illustrators in different types of projects.

Núria Cadenes is a writer and journalist and has worked as a bookseller. She has been living in the Valencian Country for 25 years. She has written a dozen books, including non-fiction and novels, and short stories for various anthologies. The documentary novel Guillem, won her the Lletra d’Or Award and the València Negra Award for the best novel. Tiberi Cèsar was a finalist for the Finestres and Llibreter Awards, among other prizes.
This year, she published En carn i ossos with Ara Llibres.

Trabaja en la biblioteca del Instituto de Investigaciones en Matemáticas Aplicadas y en Sistemas, siendo la responsable de los servicios especializados de información. Begoña Gómez Urzaiz (Tarragona, 1980) is a Barcelona-based journalist and writer. She writes regularly for La Vanguardia, co-hosts the podcast Amiga, date cuenta on Radio Primavera Sound and is a regular contributor to the programme Vostè primer on RAC1. Her bylines have appeared in publications such as El País, Vogue and Vanity Fair, and she has taught in the Master’s in Literary Journalism at the UAB. She edited and wrote the foreword to the collectively authored volume Neorrancios. Contra los peligros de la nostalgia (Neorrancios. On the Dangers of Nostalgia). The Abandoners: Of Mothers and Monsters is her first book. It has been translated into English, French, German, Portuguese and Polish and was published by Borough Press in the UK and Ireland, Norton in the US, Aufbau Verlag in Germany, Zahar in Brazil, Karakter in Poland and Stock in France.

Gemma Ruiz

Journalist and writer. She has worked at Televisió de Catalunya’s news service since the age of 21, primarily as a cultural correspondent for Telenotícies, and is now editor-in-chief. In 2016 she published Argelagues, which became a literary phenomenon. Four years later, her novel Ca la Wenling (Wenling’s) cemented her standing with readers. With Les nostres mares (Our Mothers), she won the 62nd Sant Jordi Prize for Fiction. Her work has been translated into English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Elisenda Solsona

Elisenda Solsona (Olesa de Montserrat, 1984) is a writer and secondary school teacher. She holds undergraduate degrees in humanities, from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), and audiovisual communication, from the University of Barcelona (UB). She also studied for the Master’s in Writing for Television and Cinema at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and has taken several writing courses at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett and the Ateneu Barcelonès School of Writing. She has published Cirurgies (Surgeries) (Voliana Edicions, 2016), Satèl·lits (Satellites) (Males Herbes, 2019) – which won the 2020 Imperdible Prize for Best Fantasy Book in Catalan and the 2020 Ictineu Prize for Best Anthology and Best Short Story in Catalan – and Mammalia (Males Herbes, 2024), which was shortlisted for the 2025 Òmnium Prize for Best Novel in Catalan and won the Ictineu Prize for Best Fantasy Novel in Catalan. She has contributed to the anthology Autòctones (Natives) (Comanegra, 2023) and to The Valancourt Book of World Horror Stories (Valancourt, 2020) with the short story ‘Mechanisms’ (translated by Mara Faye Lethem from ‘Engranatges’, originally published in Satèl·lits).
