Poet, literary critic, translator and author of children's literature. Her poetry —renowned for its introspective lyricism, focus on the female experience and a fine historical sensibility— is collected in books such as The Face beyond the Photograph, (Co)existence and Grown-Up. Her work has been translated into more than fifteen languages and has appeared in numerous international anthologies. In addition, she has published children's books Marko Travels Around the World and It's Hard to Be the Youngest, widely translated within European publishing projects. A doctor in philology, she has researched the poetics of the Ukrainian Baroque and collaborates as a translator from Polish and other Slavic languages.
