Illustrators bring books to life with their talent, adding color, form, and emotion to every page. The Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) is the ideal platform to showcase your work and connect with professionals in the literary industry. It's a unique opportunity to learn, share, and expand your career in the world of visual arts applied to literature.
Furthermore, registering as an illustrator grants exclusive access to FILustra, a special program offering talks, presentations, workshops, and activities led by prominent illustrators from around the world. If you are an illustrator and do not wish to participate in FILustra, you can register under the "Other" category.
The FILustra program is in Spanish, and there is no translation.
FILustra Workshops: Monday, 30 th November, and Tuesday, 1st December.
Registration fee:
Upon registration, you will receive:
- A badge to access the event during the 9 days of the Fair and exclusive access to the days and times of Professionals.
- Publication of your data in the online Contacts’ Catalog.
- Participation in the training programs of your interest.
- Access to the work tables and services of the Business Center.
- Participation in talks and conferences of the Illustrators Program / FILustra.
- Entry to FILustra workshops (spaces subject to availability).
To make the most of your visit, we suggest:
- Register by September 4th to receive the preferential rate and request the three-night hotel accommodation in a doble room (subject to approval and availability), courtesy of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL).
- Consult the various online catalogs and start planning your schedule beginning September 30 th.
- Consult the general program of events and reserve space in your schedule for the activities that interest you. Attending events allows you to learn about readers' tastes and better understand trends in the Ibero-American market.
- Use the buyer's storage facility, located in the Business Center.
- You will find the mail service at Gate 4.
When you arrive at the FIL:
- Please go to the Preregistration Module, located at the International Area entry to receive your badge and your welcome kit.
