Terms and conditions for the use of the rooms
- The established schedule by FIL Guadalajara must be respected for all book presentations; otherwise, the Fair reserves the right to take the necessary measures to maintain continuity in the day’s event agenda.
- If, for any reason, the book presentation begins after the stipulated time, the presenter must still finish at the assigned time.
- FIL reserves the right to cancel the book presentation if the opening is delayed more than fifteen minutes after the established time.
- FIL reserves the right to modify the schedules for justifiable reasons due to event logistics. In such cases, new dates and times will be proposed to the applicant for selection.
- The furniture includes chairs and a presidium for up to five people; a soundboard, a stereo and a table for book display, which can only be used during the presentation.
- If audiovisual and/or translation equipment and an interpreter are required for the book presentation, they must be provided and operated by the applicant.
- If streaming equipment is required, it must be hired and operated by the applicant.
- It is not allowed to offer coffee breaks or cocktail services in the presentation rooms.
- The presentation of musical bands is not allowed, nor is it possible to play music in the presentation rooms.
- It is not allowed to place items on columns, open load centers, or contact boxes; nor to nail, screw, drill or glue anything on floors, walls, ceilings, and columns.
- Under no circumstances may the backforum in the hall be covered.
- Invitations to the book presentations issued by publishers do not exempt attendees from paying the entrance ticket to Expo Guadalajara.
- If the book title, author, presenter, or any other information changes, it is important to inform presentaciones@fil.com.mx in writing. The organizing committee will review the request and confirm in writing whether the change is possible.
- Applicants are not allowed to sign books at the end of the presentation without prior consent from the organizing committee.
- The applicant will be responsible for any claims regarding Intellectual Property (Copyright and Industrial Property), related to the work presented at the book presentation, and is obligated to release FIL Guadalajara and Universidad de Guadalajara of any responsibility.
- FIL Guadalajara reserves the right to cancel the book presentation at any time if it deems that the content involves violence, inappropriate acts, or violates any legal provision.
- The applicant is required to comply with any additional conditions, rules, or regulations that FIL Guadalajara considers pertinent to ensure the success of the event.
- For interpretation, compliance, controversy, or any issue arising from this request, the parties expressly agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, renouncing from this moment on any other that may correspond to them by reason of present or future address.
- Acceptance of these conditions means that you have read, understood and agreed to the participation regulations and the present provisions without any restrictions or conditions.
