Book presentations

Guide for Books Presentations 2024

Days and Times

  • November 30, December 1, 5, 7 and from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
  • December  23 and 4 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
  • December 6 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

FIL Guadalajara has 21 rooms with capacities ranging from 50 to 600 people.

Process

  1. Fulfill the format request online
    1. All the requests are subject to the availability of time and space.
  2. Wait for space allocation.
    • From the date of receipt of your request, you will receive by email the confirmation of the date, time, and room assigned, in around fifteen business days.
  3. Once your space is confirmed, you must make the corresponding payment and send the voucher (bank deposit/wire transfer) clearly identified to the email: presentaciones@fil.com.mx
    • The payment should be made two months later of the space confirmation.
    • If an invoice is required for payment, it is essential to send the updated tax status statement to the email presentaciones@fil.com.mx, otherwise it will not be possible to issue it.
    • The deadline to claim invoices is December 20th, 2024.
  4. Send by email the following annexes:
    • Book synopsis, biography, and author(s) photography.
    • Files received up until August 31st will be published on FIL's website in the general program.
    • In the case of presenting more than a book by session, please send a book synopsis for each one of them.
  5. If there is a change in the book title, author, presenter, or any other data, report immediately to the email: presentaciones@fil.com.mx. The organizing committee will evaluate the new information and notify you if it is approved, otherwise, the space will be canceled.
  6. If an audiovisual presentation and/or interpretation equipment will be necessary for the presentation, it must be hired and operated by the person responsible for the presentation.
  7. If streaming equipment is required, it must be hired and operated by the person responsible for the presentation.
  8. It is not allowed to offer a coffee break or cocktail services, or play music in the presentation rooms.

Benefits

All the requests confirmed and paid until August 31st, 2024, will have the following benefits:

  • For each hired and paid session, 3 badges will be assigned. You will receive an email with the date and the place where they can be picked up.
  • Publication in the general hand program.
  • Publication in the digital program on the official website of FIL Guadalajara.
