Latin America Viva
Since its creation 36 years ago, the Guadalajara International Book Fair has sought to be a platform for the most diverse voices of literature written in Spanish. Faithful to this vocation, and coinciding with its 25th edition, the program “The 25 Best Kept Secrets of Latin America” was launched. The success of the series, both among the general public and book professionals, led to the creation of the "Latinoamérica Viva" program the following year, which will reach its eleventh edition in 2023.
Through the participation of writers from different latitudes, both established and new, Latinoamérica Viva has brought together 246 authors in its ten editions. The two hundred and forty-six voices, whispers, cries, in other words, ways of interpreting Latin American reality through literature, have arrived at the FIL Guadalajara with the intention of bringing new readers to their literature, as well as to promote their work in the world publishing market.
