In the world there are approximately 285 million visually impaired, of whom 39 million are blind and 246 million have low vision. It is estimated that the number of children with visual impairment amounts to 19 million. It is a population with limited access to many events and cultural products.

As an institution dedicated to promote reading, FIL Guadalajara commits to provide access to culture for the largest possible number of people, regardless of their personal circumstances. This project is aimed to people with visual disabilities, as an inclusion agenda:

  • Protect equal
  • Encourage awareness of visitors
  • Provide tools to facilitate freedom of movement
  • Promote the use of accessible formats

Participants will also have access to various services and programs offered by FIL Guadalajara. Check them at www.fil.com.mx in the Business section.

Cost and participation policies:

  • Each shelf will cost USD $100 if reserved before July 28th or $125 after this date.
  • This space can accommodate five books with the cover to the front or up to fourteen overlapping.
  • The internal distribution will be handled by FIL Guadalajara. The space allocation policy will be in the order of reservation.
  • The FIL will provide staff for the attention of the stand and carry out the promotion.
  • FIL Guadalajara will not be responsible for the exhibited material, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to safeguard, restock and carry out the daily sales cuts in coordination with the personnel that attends the space.
