For all readers eager to discover new stories, for those who each year look forward to being surprised by the Guadalajara International Book Fair, and for publishing professionals seeking new opportunities for collaboration and exchange, the destination is Brazil.

Those who attend Destinação Brasil will encounter the many possible Brazils: contrasting, diverse, and even contradictory. It will be a journey through this vast country, whose literary landscape remains largely unknown in much of our continent.

Our purpose is to strengthen the bridge between Brazilian literature and the Spanish-speaking world, so that FIL Guadalajara may serve as a showcase that brings audiences closer to Brazil’s new literary voices as well as to established figures whose work is rarely read beyond their borders.
