Exploring Sound Regions, Audiences, and Audio Formats

The Audio FIL Forum 2025 presents a program focused on observing and learning from diverse sound regions in order to develop strategies for the Spanish-language audio markets. Through interdisciplinary panel discussions and presentations by prominent industry figures, we will explore the actions and interests of the publishing industry regarding audio.
This year’s edition will cover a wider range of sound formats audiobooks and podcasts with a focus on children’s catalogs, the relationship between voice professionals and production companies with the publishing sector, audience analysis, and the trends shaping audio and publishing platforms to captivate more readers through sound.
Two professional workshops will also be offered: the first centered on the executive and technical production of audiobooks, and the second focused on the podcast format.
With the goal of fostering professional opportunities within the publishing industry around sound formats, the Audio FIL Forum is designed for professionals from both traditional and digital publishing fields those with prior experience or seeking their first engagement with audio formats. This includes editors, authors, consultants, audio distribution and consumption platforms, rights agencies, industry associations, voice actors, production studios, creators, and professionals.
All Audio FIL Forum activities are free for registered professionals. Workshops have limited capacity and require prior registration.

This panel will explore the craft of audiobook narration and the different approaches narrators take to define their style: do they read, narrate, or perform in front of the microphone? The discussion will also include conversations with producers, publishers, and authors about what they expect from the voices that bring their stories to life. Finally, the debate around artificial intelligence in voice acting, its impact on the industry and the perspectives of audio experts regarding its use, will be addressed.
