Marcos Peres
Marcos Peres was born in Maringá. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the State University of Maringá and works at the Court of Justice of the State of Paraná. For his debut, The Gospel According to Hitler (Editora Record, 2013) received the SESC Award for Literature for 2012/2013 and the São Paulo Prize for Literature in 2014 and was also a finalist for the 2014 Jabuti Award. What happened to Juliana Klein?, a noir philosophical novel, was released in July 2015 in Brazil also by Editora Record. His work has been published in Spain and Mexico by Editora Maresia and in Portugal by the Editora Nova Delphi.
In his works, the author revisits Nietzsche, Hitler and Borges, mixing philosophi- cal postulates, notorious facts and conspiracy theories. Memory and imagination are fused by the author and used to the same end: to show that literature is a way of recreating history.
